Bond and Damages Policy

At The C Space, we are dedicated to maintaining a pristine environment for all events. To protect our venue and hire items, we require a security bond for each booking. This bond covers potential damages or the need for excessive cleaning after your event.

The bond amount is determined based on the type of event and the risk involved, as assessed by the venue owner. Factors such as the nature of the event, the number of guests, and the likelihood of potential damage will influence the bond required.

For instance, adult parties may incur a higher bond due to the increased risk of spills and other damages compared to children’s events.

Clients are expected to take reasonable care of the venue and all hired items during their event. Any spills must be promptly cleaned up using the provided cleaning supplies. Special attention should be paid to our polished concrete floors, as spills left untreated can result in permanent stains.

Hire items, including furniture, décor, and equipment, should be used as intended and returned in the same condition as provided. Damage to any hire items will be covered by the security bond.

Clients are encouraged to inspect the venue and hire items upon arrival and report any pre-existing damage to management to avoid any misunderstandings later.

Following your event, The C Space management will conduct a thorough inspection of the venue and all hire items. This inspection will assess any potential damage or the need for additional cleaning.

If the venue and hire items are returned in the condition they were provided, the full bond amount will be refunded within 7 business days.

In the event of damage, including but not limited to stained floors, damaged furniture, broken fixtures, or hire items, the cost of repairs or replacement will be deducted from the security bond.

If the cost of damage or cleaning exceeds the bond amount, the client will be invoiced for the remaining balance.

In the event of a dispute regarding the bond, The C Space will provide documentation, including photos and reports, to support any deductions. We aim to resolve any disputes amicably and fairly, based on the evidence available.

By booking with The C Space, clients agree to the terms outlined in this Bond and Damages Policy. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain the quality of our venue and hire items for all guests.
